You know nothing ...Anonymous,

You are an IDIOT!

You know nothing about the law and obviously --you cannot fucking READ!

I cited U.S. v Miller --a decision of the Supreme Court which explicit says that the right to "keep and bear arms" is contextual and the context is: A WELL REGULATED MILITIA.

Read it!!! And STFU!

btw---because you are a MORON, I will give you a clue. You can look up U.S. v Miller at either FINDLAW (online) or the Cornell University Law Library.

If you repeat the same old shit on this thread, I will delete your lying, stupid ass!

Do you understand that much? The writings of the founders, especially Thomas Jefferson make that crystal clear. There was a faction that wanted it otherwise. They were not in the majority. You can whine all day long but unless you can get the states to change it you are won't be able to decide for the rest of us whether or not we wish to be properly armed. The other was the Powell Manifesto. These two programs -- for the Republicans to garner the rednecks in the South, and for Conservative think tanks and the business community to take control of the media and economic debate -- have brought us to where we are today with climate change denialists, Creationists, Tea Party and Libertarian idiots spouting economic garbage, all in bed with Corporate America and the US hard Right. Bad news, I'm afraid.

You might also be interested in this

Thanks -Ddamiennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19580203.post-33321014471529881152013-02-21T13:17:15.232-08:002013-02-21T13:17:15.232-08:00Damien, the closest thing to what you describe wou...Damien, the closest thing to what you describe would be Nixon's 'SOUTHERN STRATEGY'! It was the brainchild of Kevin Phillips. As strategist for Nixon, Phillips discovered that there were more bigot and extreme right-wing votes down south than there were MODERATE Republican votes up north! If you google 'SOUTHERN STRATEGY', you are sure to get enough sources to write your own book on it. In my opinion, 'Southern Strategy' is the origin of an increasingly nutty/radical/dishonest GOP,i.e, the GOP that would seek out bigots, war mongers, criminals and enemies of education. What happened in Texas was but a variation of it. All Tom DeLay had to do (while still in the State House O'Reps) was gerrymander the state. I seem to recall some effort by the Republicans back in the 60s or early 70s to organize in the southern states and establish a Republican dominance of politics through an alignment of business, media and think tanks. It was particularly tied up with the idea of starting up think tanks and taking over the media. You may recall what I'm referring to. Did you do any posts on that or have you any links that could help me?

Many thanks -- Damiendamiennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19580203.post-63419697895838383802013-02-16T07:36:14.657-08:002013-02-16T07:36:14.657-08:00An observation: this article is NOT about whether ...An observation: this article is NOT about whether I 'like' or don't like guns! In fact, growing up in West Texas, I am DAMN good with a gun. But I am not a fanatic, nor am I an NRA liar and kiss up like the IDIOT Ted Nugent.

It's about the LAW!! And it's obvious that the NRA has no respect for the law, else the NRA and all its stupid minions would not persist in LYING about the Second Amendment.

I have yet to meet an NRA (member or shill) who was prepared to CITE the entire law. They OMIT almost 1/2 of it.

I SAY THAT THAT IS DISHONEST! I merely proves that they are ---to a person --the liars and crooks that I have always said that they were.

CLUE: Even the SUPREME COURT has said that you may NOT leave out, omit, or ignore any part of any law and, with respect to the Second, that part that is OMITTED, IGNORED and/or LIED ABOUT is the part that puts ALL OF IT in context, i.,e the

"well regulated militia, being necessary for the defense of a free state..."

For leaving that part out, I am calling the NRA a pack of fucking liars!

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04598093941551759917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19580203.post-29774577521581479642013-02-14T05:11:09.910-08:002013-02-14T05:11:09.910-08:00I try and catch up with your writings once a week....I try and catch up with your writings once a week.
