Bush tells another bald-faced whopper, claims he has laid the 'foundation of peace'!

Not content to have sacrificed the lives of US soldiers in his failed war of aggression against Iraq, Bush now says that the deaths of some 4,000 US soldiers in Iraq have 'laid the foundations for peace'. It's another bald face lie from the man who fabricated evidence against Saddam when, in fact, Iraq had no 'weapons of mass destruction', when, in fact, Bush sent US soldiers to their deaths upon a calculated, evil fraud!
"One day, people will look back at this moment in history and say, 'Thank God there were courageous people willing to serve, because they laid the foundations for peace for generations to come,' " Bush told reporters after a meeting at the State Department.

-- Bush: US deaths in Iraq 'laid foundations for peace'
It's another bald-faced lie from an habitual liar, sociopath and traitor. People will look back and marvel that Bush --the worst 'leader' since Nero -got it away with it for so long! The prospects for peace have never been worse and will continue to deteriorate as long as Dick Cheney et al are given the resources of a nuclear power! They have exploited that power to steal the oil resources of nations like Iraq and, eventually, Iran.

Bush would rather you did not know that, in fact, the world is more dangerous, terrorism is worse, and deaths from the Iraq war mount daily. Total US and Iraqis deaths from Bush's order to attack, invade and occupy Iraq now top 1.2 million. This act of mass murder has now cost the American tax payer about 525 billion dollars that might have been spent educating people, improving infrastructure, encouraging neighborhood development, improving job prospects and leveling playing fields.

The US taxpayer was suckered into writing out the check for Dick Cheney's plunder of the middle east. Cheney and his 'energy task force' plotted to carve up the oil fields of Iraq prior to 911 and prior to the attack and invasion of Iraq. The oil fields of Iraq are clearly 'divvied' up among the plotters --Exxon Mobil, Conoco (before its merger with Phillips), Shell Oil, BP America Inc et al. The common sense interpretation of the undeniable timeline (in the public record) is that Bush and Cheney conspired with their neocon and oil industry 'base' to perpetrate a hoax upon the US --a 911 pretext --upon which they would raise the bogus specter of 'terrorism'! While the nation was still in shock, Colin Powell would peddle the cover story at the UN with falsified papers, bogus 'evidence and lies. It was a deliberate and treasonous fraud!

Recently Scott McClellan charged that Bush Misled Americans In Order to Go to War. Earlier Colin Powell had stated on national television that he, too, has been misled prior to his presentation to the UN in which he cited a plagiarized student paper.
One embarrassing revelation about Powell's speech was that a key part of his evidence against Iraq was cut and pasted from a California graduate student's outdated academic paper, ripped directly from the Internet. In academia, we call this plagiarism. Stealing something straight off of a website, an act easily detected by feeding a string of words into a Google search, is plagiarism in its cheesiest form. Students who do it fail classes--this is nonnegotiable. In Powell's case, he isn't the plagiarizer. He properly cited a British intelligence service report--four pages of which were ripped off without citation, complete with spelling and grammatical errors--from a paper that appeared in October 2002 in an obscure academic journal.

and ten year old satellite photos in support of a bald faced lie that Saddam had WMD.
Powell presented satellite photos of industrial buildings, bunkers and trucks, and suggested they showed Iraqis surreptitiously moving prohibited missiles and chemical and biological weapons to hide them. At two sites, he said trucks were "decontamination vehicles" associated with chemical weapons.

These and other sites have now undergone 500 inspections in recent months. Chief U.N. inspector Hans Blix, a day earlier, had said his well-equipped experts had found no contraband in their inspections and no sign that items had been moved. Nothing has been reported found since.

Addressing the Security Council a week after Powell, Blix used one photo scenario as an example and said it could be showing routine as easily as illicit activity. Journalists visiting photographed sites hours after the Powell speech found similar activity to be routine.

Norwegian inspector Jorn Siljeholm told AP on March 19 that "decontamination vehicles" U.N. teams were led to by U.S. information invariably turned out to be simple water or fire trucks. On June 24, Blix said of the entire Powell photo package, "We were not impressed with that particular evidence."

Amid Powell's warnings, a critical fact was lost: Iraq's military industries were to have remained under strict, on-site U.N. monitoring for years to come, guarding against the rebuilding of weapons programs.

--Powell's Case for Iraq War Falls Apart 6 Months Later, Charles Hanley

The world is not safer and may never be as safe again. We have George W. Bush and his evil regime to thank.
The new study, by Peter Bergen and Paul Cruickshank, argues that, on the contrary, "the Iraq conflict has greatly increased the spread of al-Qa'ida ideological virus, as shown by a rising number of terrorist attacks in the past three years from London to Kabul, and from Madrid to the Red Sea.

"Our study shows that the Iraq war has generated a stunning increase in the yearly rate of fatal jihadist attacks, amounting to literally hundreds of additional terrorist attacks and civilian lives lost. Even when terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan is excluded, fatal attacks in the rest of the world have increased by more than one third."

In trying to gauge the "Iraq effect", the authors had focused on the rate of terrorist attacks in two periods - from September 2001 to 30 March 2003 (the day of the Iraq invasion) and 21 March 2003 to 30 September 2006. The research has been based on the MIPT-RAND Terrorism database.

The report's assertion that the Iraq invasion has had a far greater impact in radicalising Muslims is widely backed security personnel in the UK. Senior anti-terrorist officials told The Independent that the attack on Iraq, and the now-discredited claims by the US and British governments about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction, had led to far more young Muslims engaging in extremist activity than the invasion of Afghanistan two years previously.

--How the war on terror made the world a more terrifying place
Terrorism is always worse under GOP regimes and continues to worsen now.
The combination of bloody wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, continued terrorist attacks from Britain to Somalia, and a presidential election in which candidates are defining themselves based on how they would stare down the threats has many seeing shades of gray. Six years after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, just 29 percent of Americans believe the United States is winning the war on terror—the lowest percentage at any point since 9/11.

...

In Iraq, for instance, the same surge in U.S. forces that is meant to help pacify Baghdad only escalates violence elsewhere in the country. In the broader Middle East and South Asia, some of the same countries that are now the United States’ most crucial allies have also been guilty of cultivating the very terrorists we look to bring to justice. Deciphering priorities from such difficult paradoxes can be hard. So, how can one determine whether the war on terror is making America safer or more dangerous?

...

The world these experts see today is one that continues to grow more threatening. Fully 91 percent say the world is becoming more dangerous for Americans and the United States, up 10 percentage points since February. Eighty-four percent do not believe the United States is winning the war on terror, an increase of 9 percentage points from six months ago. More than 80 percent expect a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 within a decade, a result that is more or less unchanged from one year ago.

--The Terrorism Index
The world will never be safe as long as the US makes of the Pentagon a huge, bureaucratic mechanism by which your tax monies are channeled into the coffers of 'military contractors', in fact our largest industry. That this 'death' industry exploits the labors of millions who would be out of productive employment in times of peace proves the utter failure of the GOP to encourage or support a peace time economy. Since Ronald Reagan, GOP regimes have presided over the dissolution of American industrial might.

The world will never again be safe as long as there remains this economic incentive to wage war Having long ago run out of ideas, the GOP will invent pretexts to wage aggressive war. George W. Bush or a hand-picked successor will benefit from a second terrorist attack that would keep Blackwater USA employed as it enriches America's 'merchants of death', the military/industrial complex which makes up a disproportionate slice of the US economy.

The US has become Mass Murder, Incorporated, a fascist and illegitimate government whose job is now absurdly circular. It wages war upon the world in order to keep the industries of war employed! This was the 'formula' for the fall of Rome and it describes an American fall that is at present underway. Thank you, George W. Bush! Thank you GOP! Thank you, too, the blood suckers of the Military/Industrial Complex. Thanks also to the US imperial establishment --an absurd, self-justifying 'entity', a clear and present danger to civilization. War has become America’s number one export. America is hooked on war and Bush will always need another fix.
"And so long as they were at war, their power was preserved, but when they had attained empire they fell, for of the arts of peace they knew nothing, and had never engaged in any employment higher than war."

--Aristotle (384BC-322BC)

It is telling that over the course of the American aggression in Iraq, the 'coalition of the willing' is no more. Bush and his last allies --Rush Limbaguh and the Faux Network --would have you believe the lie that Bush alone is right while the entire world is wrong. Wrong! The war was begun upon a fraud amd is therefore a capital crime under US codes, a war crime under the Nuremberg Principles and other international convention.

Because Bush is a self-appointed prophet, Americans continue to pay for his war of aggression and self-aggrandizement with their lives in Iraq and with their jobs, prospects, and educations here at home. One day, when the point is driven home that there is a high price to be paid for Bush's lies, the American people will --at last --awaken and drive this criminal from office and into prison or the gallows.

The Real Reason Fox is Upset with Hillary

by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

Watching FOX hyperventilate about Hilary Clinton is like watching crocodiles weep. Fox is not truly outraged by Hilary's ill-phrased comments and, in fact, misses the point and lies about it! Fox claims that Hilary crossed the line by implying that Obama was in danger. In fact, Obama is in danger; Fox is in denial. Everyone knows that Obama is in danger and so, too, every decent politician in America. How many Republicans got Anthrax letters?
Fox itself is among the lying media monopolists and establishment imperialists who have combined to justify our suspicions.

When a definitive history is written, FOX will have been shown to have played a key role in the dissolution of American culture, a culture in which only the paid liars of Fox, right wing extremists, or MIC kiss ups are safe from assassination. What FOX won't report is the real reason 'right wing' media are upset. An ugly truth about America is exposed by Hilary's ill-considered comments and by the failure of the media to confront the facts about the American right wing.

The right wing might have reason to be upset if Hilary, herself, posed a threat to the imperialist establishment. But she doesn't. If she had been, the source of their chagrin could have been summed up: as long as Hilary stays in the race, 'they' won't know who to shoot! But you will never hear that stated on Fox, just as in Texas you will never hear: "the tires on that truck are too big!"

Hilary's comments are both self-denigrating and arrogant but Fox is the official voice of right wing 'denial'. In one sense, Hilary implies that if Obama is murdered by the right wing, the Democrats will still have her --as a last resort! The party will not be left without a candidate. I feel so much better. In another sense, she arrogantly implies that she is the hope of both the party and America. Sad to say: Obama is, right now, our last hope. I am admittedly surprised that Fox would attack her. She hedges their bets.

If it is not true that only liberals and minorities are assassinated in America, it is certainly true and provable that the death rate by political assassination in those groups is much, much higher than among the robber barons of big oil, banking or the Military/Industrial complex.

Dare to champion the cause of democracy, equality, or opportunity and you've made yourself a target. Stats don't lie! Can anyone really believe that a candidate risks his/her life who runs on a platform of more welfare for the rich, more fat contracts for the MIC, more pork for GOP robber baron bankers? It is the people who challenge the imperial establishment who get murdered. So --who do you think is murdering them?

I don't expect Fox to 'get real'. They prefer to 'get rich' by spreading the lies that only some one percent of the population wants you to believe. They don't believe it themselves. It was Bertolt Brecht who said: "a man who does not know the truth is just an idiot but a man who knows the truth and calls it a lie is a crook!" Well --the US imperialist establishment is 'a crook'! I don't expect Fox will ever face that fact.

The 'dark souls' live in the White House and occupy the offices of Fox network. No one is more outraged than me for Hilary's comments. Indeed, she is tone deaf. But Fox is disingenuous and tone deaf. Conservative kiss ups are not truly outraged that anyone would suggest that Obama might be assassinated. Certainly --the Bush minions that comprise the very worst imitation of journalism since William Randolph Hearst are probably most outraged because Hilary let the cat out of the bag. That is, the United States is a nation that has systematically assassinated black, liberal or progressive opposition to the imperial establishment, and under Bush, a tyrannical rule by fascist robber barons and special interests

America's number one export is war. The 'real' economy has already collapsed. Will Fox tell you that? The business of America used to be 'business'. Now it is the killing of civilians in nations that dare oppose the US imperial establishment. I can say that and get away with it because I am no no threat. But JFK, RFK, and Martin Luther King Jr were threats to the imperialist establishment. So too were Paul Wellstone, JFK Jr, Mickey LeLand and others 'victimized' by 'suspicious circumstances'. That's what Hilary --herself NO threat to the MIC --should have been saying. That's the truth that Fox won't 'get' and won't tell. So --once again the nation endures a public hand wringing though nothing has been learned, no point has been made, no truth has emerged.

Yep! Fox is outraged alright! Hilary blew their cover! I look forward to the day when both Fox and Hilary are frog marched into political oblivion. I look forward to shouting from the rootops: don't let the door hit you in your sorry asses on your way out. I look forward to the day when Generals and lobbyists are out of a job while good hard working folk of any race have productive and meaningful jobs and enough income to feed their families and plan their educations and retirements. Alas --as long as ilk like Bush, McCain, Fox and Hilary are calling the shots, the folk I'm talking about are 'shit outta luck'.

Scott McClellan: Bush Misled Americans In Order to Go to War

The time has come to indict George W. Bush for murder. One suspects McClellan is setting himself up to 'cop a plea'. Certainly, Bush should be indicted for capital crimes, namely, the waging of naked aggression from which deaths resulted. Bush must have known he was subject to prosecution [See: US Codes, Title 18, Section 2441] Otherwise, he would not have given John Yoo and Alberto Gonzales their marching orders: make war crimes legal!
WASHINGTON — Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan writes in a memoir that the Iraq war was sold to the American people with a sophisticated "political propaganda campaign" led by President Bush and aimed at "manipulating sources of public opinion" and "downplaying the major reason for going to war."

McClellan, 40, includes the charges in his book, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," that delivers a harsh look at the White House and the man he served for close to a decade. He describes Bush as demonstrating a "lack of inquisitiveness," says the White House operated in "permanent campaign" mode and says he was deceived by some in the president's inner circle about the leak of a CIA operative's name.

He accuses former White House adviser Karl Rove of misleading him about his role in the CIA case. He describes Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as being deft at deflecting blame and calls Vice President Dick Cheney "the magic man" who steered policy behind the scenes.

McClellan, who was a tight-lipped defender of administration aides and policy, stops short of saying Bush purposely lied about his reasons for invading Iraq, writing that he and his subordinates were not "employing out-and-out deception" to make their case for war.

But in one chapter, "Selling the War," he alleges that the administration repeatedly shaded the truth and that Bush "managed the crisis in a way that almost guaranteed that the use of force would become the only feasible option."

McClellan resigned from the White House on April 19, 2006, after nearly three years as Bush's press secretary.

Michael D. Shear, Ex-aide Scott McClellan says Bush misled the US on war
It was several years ago the so-called Lancet study estimated Iraqi civilian deaths as a result of Bush's war at about 655,000. An estimate as of this week is some 1.2 million! Under law, EACH death is one count of murder in the indictment that should be forthcoming against those who would defraud a nation, the world in order to wage a war whose true purpose was the theft of oil.

I've been saying this for years and taking the heat when idiots --inspired by Fox and Limbaugh --were burning Dixie Chick CDs and waving flags from an SUV. Chicken hawks! Lately, I've gotten a lot of support.
George Bush lied to the American public in starting his war with Iraq is that the liberal columnists who have accused him of doing this merely make this point, and then go on to the next paragraph in their columns.

Only very infrequently does a columnist add that because of it Bush should be impeached. If the charges are true, of course Bush should have been impeached, convicted, and removed from office. That's almost too self-evident to state. But he deserves much more than impeachment.

I mean, in America, we apparently impeach presidents for having consensual sex outside of marriage and trying to cover it up. If we impeach presidents for that, then if the president takes the country to war on a lie where thousands of American soldiers die horrible, violent deaths and over 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilians, including women and children, even babies are killed, the punishment obviously has to be much, much more severe.

That's just common sense. If Bush were impeached, convicted in the Senate, and removed from office, he'd still be a free man, still be able to wake up in the morning with his cup of coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice and read the morning paper, still travel widely and lead a life of privilege, still belong to his country club and get standing ovations whenever he chose to speak to the Republican faithful. This, for being responsible for over 100,000 horrible deaths?* For anyone interested in true justice, impeachment alone would be a joke for what Bush did.

--Vincent Bugliosi, The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
With all due respect, Vince, regulars to this blog know that I've been making that case for years. Welcome to the club. Now --who will take this case to a Grand Jury? An indictment now would be timely.

Critics of 'conspiracy theories', just shut up! Labeling is no substitute for critical thinking skills. We are not talking about 'conspiracy theories'. We're talking about the hard evidence --admissible in court --that will get the arch criminal George W. Bush indicted, tried, convicted and sentenced for the crime of mass murder!
