Kucinich Moves to Impeach Bush

by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) has introduced 35 articles of impeachment George W. Bush. At the top of a list of "impeachable offenses" is "Article I: Creating a secret propaganda campaign to manufacture a false case for war against Iraq."

Representative Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, just finished reading on the House floor a 35-count impeachment resolution against President George W. Bush. Kucinich's lengthy and detailed indictment of this wayward president is the most thorough and powerful case made to date. He outlined a litany of high crimes and misdemeanors and showed without a shadow of a doubt that George W. Bush deserves to be impeached and removed from office. Kucinich made clear that Bush has violated his oath of office and his Constitutional duty that the laws be "faithfully executed."

--Dennis Kucinich Makes History Again - Impeach Bush!
Kucinich and others, including Rep. Robert Wexler (D-Fla.), charge that Bush and Cheney have lied to the Congress and the American people about the reasons for invading Iraq. It's a fact. They didn't just lie, they pulled off a criminal fraud upon the Congress and the American people. It was an elaborate conspiracy supervised by the White House. Bush presided over plagiarism, the fabrication of evidence against Saddam Hussein, and an elaborate pack of lies that were told to the UN. Bush was, in fact, the "deceiver of nations". This impeachable offense enabled the commission of war crimes punishable by death under US Codes, Title 18, Section 2441.

That Bush has tried repeatedly to make his actions legal (but only after he had already committed the crime) is evidence in itself that should be brought against him when he is impeached and, later, when he is tried for capital crimes. I would add that the entire 'war on terrorism' is, likewise, a criminal fraud for which Bush, Cheney and most high ranking members of his administration are culpable. It's round up time.

Back in 2007, the subject of the impeachment of George W. Bush came up when the Houston City Council was urged to adopt a resolution support his impeachment.

And of course we know that politicians NEVER, EVER go anywhere just because cameras are present.

No clapping, no hissing, no booing!! What a joke! I have sat through more Houston City Council sessions than I care to count. It seems that it is only when the impeachment of George W. Bush comes up that decorum becomes an objective. I remember a session in which clowns (not the clowns on council) were running amok --whooping like Curly Joe --throwing bags of peanuts to the people in the audience. At least Nero provided 'bread' and 'circuses'. In Houston, the city council is the circus and they residents get a lousy bag of stale peanuts.

Sadly, Houston is economically dependent upon the oil industry, the world and national headquarters for these lying, ruthless robber barons. The oil industry long ago partnered with terrorists and puppet states (like Saddam) to loot the resources of the Middle East.

If I may paraphrase an astronaut: "Houston, you ARE a problem!"

A short message to those living in Houston who have sold their souls for high paying, executive positions with oil companies: when you're done kissing George Bush's ass, get up off your knees and get a real job.

The following update from Crooks and Liars: BREAKING: Judiciary Committee Officially Requests McClellan Testimony- UPDATED
Judiciary Committee Officially Requests Scott McClellan Testimony for Friday, June 20
Wexler Plans Tough Questions About Possible Obstruction of Justice By Cheney, Rove, and Libby

(Washington, DC) Today Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) applauded the decision by Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers to invite former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan to testify under oath about the shocking revelations and possible illegal actions by members of the Bush Administration that he detailed in his book What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception.

Immediately following the book’s release, Congressman Wexler called for Congress to investigate the charges made by McClellan regarding the Bush Administration’s campaign to go to war with Iraq and efforts by Karl Rove and Scooter Libby to possibly obstruct justice during the Valerie Plame matter.

The earth-shattering admissions made by Scott McClellan in his new book warrant a sober and thorough hearing in the House Judiciary Committee and he should immediately accept the Committee’s request for his testimony,” said Congressman Wexler. “The allegations made by McClellan that Karl Rove, Scooter Libby, and possibly even Vice President Dick Cheney, together conspired to obstruct justice by lying about their role in the Plame case relates directly to the core of US executive power and the Constitution. If true, the allegations made by McClellan could amount to an obstruction of justice charge for Scooter Libby and Karl Rove.

“Scott McClellan must appear before Congress and tell the American people, under oath, how the Bush Administration not only obstructed justice during the Valerie Plame investigation but orchestrated a massive propaganda campaign to sell an unnecessary war in Iraq to the American people.

“Any efforts by the White House to claim executive privilege and thereby prevent McClellan from testifying would be ludicrous due to the fact that McClellan has already spoken at length about many of these matters both in his book and on numerous television interviews.”

Kucinich has always shown himself to have more cojones than the rest of Congress put together. We know that the partisan Republicans will block this, but in doing so they are only aiding and abetting the crimes themselves. The entire party should be investigated under the RICO statutes.

Anyway, I'll save my celebration until Bush, Cheney and their cohorts are actually behind bars. Or better yet, standing on a gallows.

As I have said for years --the GOP is not a political party; it's a crime syndicate, a criminal conspiracy.

If ANY Grand Jury in this country had any cajones, they would subpoena the entire GOP leadership and put the bastards under oath.

I cheer Kucinich. I stated once that Kucinich didn't have a snowball's chance of getting the Demo nomination and I am afraid that my comments were miscontrued. I was not opposing Kucinich. I was DEPLORING the rotten system that places punditry above policy. Of course Kucinich didn't have a 'snowball's chance in hell' of getting the nomination. He was the ONLY one talking policy.

The system sucks!!! Fuck the government! It's time now to bombard the Congress with demands that Bush be impeached.

Let the war crimes trials follow.

Welcome back, New Orleans Ladder and thanks for the nod. When you have a moment, please tell me that the robber barons are not going to turn 'Nawlins' into Disneyland.

On another topic, I erred earlier when I said that Kucinich was the only one talking policy. John Edwards was also addressing a 'real' issue: the 'two' Americas. But no one seemed to care. There are many Americas, but, in fact, the worst division is between the richest elites and everyone else. Between them there is a gulf.

I think it's important to remember when Kucinich introduced articles of impeachment against Cheney earlier, it was sent to the judiciary committee where it died. This time, the demicons want to do the same. There is not two parties in congress. There is only one party masquerading as two.

Of course if Americans fill congressional offices to the ceiling with faxes demanding Kucinich's motion be voted on without debate, maybe this will go somewhere.

But at least the dialog for impeachment is being heard which is more than I can say has been the case since our invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Hey Len,

Kucinich Moves to Impeach Bush

Wow, more than Conyers and Pelosi have been willing to do together.

Give Kucinich your "Brass Balls Award" for his effort to Impeach Bush and his co-harts in crime.

In my initial euphoria I'd assumed that Pelosi and Obi, the new Dem capo di tutti capi, had given Kucinich their imprimatur for impeachment. Alas,'twas not so.

But a case is slowly building in the court of public opinion. The NIE report, Scotty McClennan's "insider" gutspill, and now Kucinich35. The MSM won't be able to ignore it forever, particularly if enough voters get medieval on Congressional ass about it. Congress approval ratings are currently in the toilet and elections are in November.

Obama can't get too Bolshie about impeaching The Imbecile and expect to get elected in the present climate(unfortunately) but the grassroots, especially via the web, could generate some serious impeachment static. At worst, les enrages could set the scene for BushCo prosecutions after January.

Cajones? Yeh! But Kucinich is also smart. He introduced the Cheney resolution knowing that Pelosi would give it the kiss o'death.

This move, however, is well timed. The chorus of impeachment has never been greater and is growing. It'll be hard to ignore.

Secondly, Obama seems to have been moving somewhat to the 'right' with regard to Iraq. It is NO accident that Kucinich lead his 'indictment' with the the WMD fraud, used by Bush to begin the war on Iraq. It is also this fraud which undermines ALL suggestions that the US stay in Iraq and that includes Obama's recent pronouncements.

Third --despite Obama's difficulty on this point, the Iraq war was begun by a GOP Prez who has, in fact, gotten even more GOP support than that given the GOP "god': Ronald Reagan.

Kucinich --in one stroke --has made the Anti-war movement a mainstream player.

FYI- Robert Wexler has been also working on this for some time, I have been getting newsletters on this effort for a couple of years...check out the latest, also has a web page listed: Wexlerwantshearings.com

Check it out ...the next step, now these guys have got to get the attention of the American people to put pressure on their Reps...an important part of the process if these hearings do indeed take place, and are able to amount to anything realistic.

This is about criminality, and if the majority of Dem leadership want to play politics because of the up-coming election, I am afraid they are making a huge mistake. They are buying into the old school "don't rock the boat" meme that has been applied over the years in modern American politics...afraid they may get a black eye by the MSM , and end up giving the opposition a leg up.

That is hogwash, because if indeed they just stand by, the Republicans will continue on with the lies, corruption and hubris...as if nothing has happened. The propaganda machine has just been re-fitted, listen to the tone of McCain current ad's, and they are JUST getting warmed up. The only way to shut these blood suckers down is by going for the throat...pure and simple. To ignore this is not only unethical, it will probably be a grand political blunder on their part (the Dems) if they allow Kucinich & Wexler to flounder. Donate , and spread the word.

Len your site has been an inspiration to all that seek factual knowledge, refuge and open political venting concerning the current state of declining affairs that have to do with the very fabric of the American experiment. Thanks, as always for the knowledge and space you provide your fellow citizens.

Our effort to hold the Bush/Cheney Administration accountable has taken another dramatic step forward. Last night, Congressman Dennis Kucinich introduced the first Articles of Impeachment ever to be introduced against President Bush. It includes, in total, thirty-five Articles detailing this Administration's blatant abuse of power. Today, I enthusiastically co-sponsored this vitally important bill.

I am grateful for Dennis' leadership on this issue and for the steadfast support that countless Americans have given to both of our efforts to redeem our government and expose the crimes of Bush and Cheney.

I will now expand my efforts to secure impeachment hearings in the Judiciary Committee for these new Articles of Impeachment against President George W. Bush.

Many of the charges against President Bush are well known – and would shock the conscience of everyday Americans if only the national media would be willing to report on these stark facts.

The Articles present a stunning narrative of offenses that have go well beyond previous crimes committed by any US chief executive. In fact no President or Vice President in history has done more to undermine our constitution.

These charges are broad, with 35 separate allegations including the deliberate lies regarding WMDs that led us to war and the approval of illegal wiretapping of American citizens. The Articles also include new allegations of high crimes – including the explicit approval for high Administration officials to violate treaties and US law banning the use of torture.

The Democratic Party gained a majority in the House and Senate due in large part to our promises to end the corruption of the Republican majority and to hold the Administration accountable to the law. This courageous bill is a crucial step towards fulfilling this promise, but – like the Articles against Cheney – they require your support to convince Democrats and open-minded Republicans to support this bold but necessary action.

Time is running out so we must work together to spread the message and apply pressure.

First, please encourage your friends and family members to sign up at WexlerWantsHearings.com – as it will allow us to keep in touch with you and speak to a wider audience. If you haven't yet put in your phone and address, please sign up again, as we will be doing telephone town halls in the near future.

Indeed! Kucinich timed this well. Democrats wishing to 'play politics' with this will be left in the dust. Bush is on the wrong side of morality and history. McCain will likewise crash and burn. The days when anyone of any party could get elected by merely aping the ape in office will get burned badly.

A tide has turned. See my lateest article: 'Bush has gotten away with murder'!

Kucinich wears a fucking cape, in my estimation. He and Wexler both.

Sentiment will not bring about impeachment; only an indictment with the most horrible crimes that shock and awe America will bring this administration down. Impeachment is the great American Shakespearean drama, and America is only in a position to play this drama out on T.V.. So let’s play ball.

An indictment that grabs the attention of Americans and grabs the short hairs of Congress is the only indictment that will not be ignored.

Kucinich is being ignored.

Americans would be absolutely fascinated and entertained by the trial of bush and cheney using articles of impeachment based solely upon felony violations of the USA Patriot Act. Imagine the wealth of FOX television consultant contractors hired to pontificate on USA Patriot Act theory, imagine the ratings. Imagine the discovery powers a Judge would have under the USA Patriot Act, imagine. bush imagined, and look what it got him. It is your law and it is the only law that will terminate this un-American administration. bush and his gang are literally pressing the Adz into your trembling hands, daring you, teasing you, playing you.

Tens of millions of dollars have been spent by the 'media' at large in conjunction with government propaganda offices to sell the war and the USA Patriot Act to Americans. This law shines, radiates an energy that when cast upon the accused paints them instantly and forever as horribly and terribly un-American. This is a directed political weapon and it must be focused on those who have committed felony violations of the USA Patriot Act. The USA Patriot Act is a new political weapon and the people must coop the strategy of Misaprion of a Felony within the scope of the felony provisions of the USA Patriot Act.

It would have been a huge news story if Kucinich charged bush and cheney with felony violation of the USA Patriot Act; I mean that would be HUGE. bush and cheney would be absolutely terrified, stammering their responses through the limbags. Blogs would fume, tongues would lather, ivory towers would crash down and the dust would cover all of the media with a conspiratorial cloak stinking of un-Americanism. Yes, I 'ism' and ‘eason them in the same breath. The soldier who wins the war walks off to battle merrily for he knows he will return the same.

When the roaches scurry, they leave tracks, and of course that's all part of the hard-hitting prosecutorial strategy of using the USA Patriot Act to defend this nation from terrorism and those that aid and abet terrorism by disseminating false information on terrorism, a serious and egregious felony violation of the USA Patriot Act.

If Kucinich would have simply indicted bush with articles that were fortified with the prosecutorial tools and discovery tools included within the felony provisions of the USA Patriot Act he would have effectively tarred and feathered bush. bush's lawyers could then only attack the USA Patriot Act itself in order to destroy its power in the courts. America loves irony, a wild story, gotta love da' juice baby. The vast majority has no interest in the Constitution or the law, unless it’s some hot babe on a police show poining a gun at a dude and shooting him. Ratings talk.

Kucinich has no ratings.

If you are going to bring down a warring tyrant then you will have to throw him to some very real lions. The lions in the USA Patriot Act make Kucinich's application of old, tired laws, (that are being ignored also), a real disappointment. Kucinich needs some help with his presentation. He puts everybody to sleep.

- WAKE UP AMERICA ! -

Do you really want to drool yourself to sleep over 4 hours of droning old law stuff that has failed so often already, or do you want to see bush accused of un-American and illegal activities, felony violations of the USA Patriot Act ... or does everybody want to pretend the USA Patriot Act like, doesn't exist? New, new and improved impeachment brought to you by the felony prosecutorial provisions of the USA Patriot Act. How long would it take them to talk if their cellmate was in a secret prison in Egypt?

Whatever ... right?

Prosecuting by making use of the felony provisions within the USA Patriot Act will bring bush down like a chain saw clears brush. The lawyers will be forced to attack the USA Patriot Act law and its extensions, they will have to attack the theory of the USA Patriot Act and dismember and destroy the USA Patriot Act and associated legislation in order to save their hides.

And they would be branded as un-American for all time. They would hold up their executive orders signed by bush to shield him from the very laws he made to keep you in check, and then you would start to connect the dots. Then you would connect the dots.

It really is in plain sight.

Focus on real felonies, not emotional or bandwagon appeals and you will get your man.

The glittering generalities of crime, banging on pots and pans will not indict or impeach. Congress is complicit in all of this, and some of them must also be charged with felony violation of the USA Patriot Act.

Terrify them, please; they have terrified you with it all. Fight back with felony prosecution using the felony provisions of the USA Patriot Act and its extended legislations.

I have pushed for INDICTMENTS since the creation of this blog!

Bush has committed CAPITAL CRIMES --violations of Federal Statutes. Kucinich cannot indict anyone. But a Federal Grand Jury can. At that point, Bush will probably be impeached.

Impeachment is a political remedy and does not preclude indictment. That's why Ford pardoned Nixon. Nixon would have been indicted after his resignation. Both Ronald Reagan and Bush I should have been indicted.

But --if Kucinich can impeach Bush I support that as well. When Bush is out of office, I will still work and organize to indict, track him down and arrest him and drag his sorry ass into a courtroom to stand trial for capital crimes.l
